Oh where, oh where, has my little pet gone?
Is your pet missing? Did he or she stray out of the yard, jump out of the car, or dash through the door before you could grab him? We have added this page to help reunite owners with their lost pet.
If you lost pet, follow these steps.
- Call the shelter immediately to list your pet as missing and inquire if anyone has reported your pet as "found".
- Visit the FDL Humane Society in person on a regular basis. Some pets are not found immediately and can be brought to the Shelter one to two months after being lost. Remember, you will recognize your pet before we will!
- Post flyers and pictures in the area your pet was lost. Talk to your neighbors and area residents.
- Most importantly, be patient and don't give up hope. Your stray pet may just wander back home on its own!
